Arguably this long ago, Australian-cinema had its inception with the earliest records of aboriginal narratives in which the landscapes of Australia were already playing the lead role. The force of nature shaping characters and serving as spiritual guideline for everyone dwelling in it. This is one of the traits of Australia’s unique film culture that did not change to this very day and can be seen from Picnic at Hanging Rock to Razorback to the Mad Max-franchise.
